Malostranske Namesti is the main square of the 'Little Quarter', the district where you can find one end of the Charles Bridge, and Prague Castle. This tram stop usually has a few hundred people wandering around from Charles Bridge up to the Castle, but today there is... almost no one.
Prague and the Czech Republic entered a state of lockdown in March, 2020, closing borders and all shops for business. The result has been a surreal lack of any residents or tourists in the city center, something that has never been seen before. Wandering through the center is allowed, but be sure to wear a mask!
