Here is perhaps the most famous place in Prague (along with the Charles Bridge),and one of the jewels of the Czech Republic - one of the two most popular tourist sites in the city, and certainly one of the most well-trafficked tourist sites in the whole world, Old Town Square. This 600 year-old clock and the surrounding square is usually thronged with hundreds or thousands of people at every moment of the day, from sunrise well past sunset. To have had the chance to photograph it in this state, in the middle of the day, completely devoid of people, was really quite amazing.
Prague and the Czech Republic entered a state of lockdown in March, 2020, closing borders and all shops for business. The result has been a surreal lack of any residents or tourists in the city center, something that has never been seen before. Wandering through the center is allowed, but be sure to wear a mask!
